Cold laser Dr. Lapointe uses the latest technology in cold laser technology, the THERALASE TLC-2000, released in 2016. The TLC-2000 is a SUPERPULSED cold laser powerful enough to activate and treat tissues up to 10cm deep. So effective to achieve deep structures like an intervertebral disc or the hip joint or knee meniscus. The cold laser is indicated to treat inflammation, chronic pain such as osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendinitis, neuropathies and herniated discs.

Electrotherapies Interference current electrotherapy is the use of low frequency electrical currents that have a precise physiological action on the tissues. Using 2 or 4 electrodes, the intensity and frequency of the current will allow to: – reduce pain (analgesic effect) – increase blood circulation – increase lymphatic circulation – stimulate or relax the muscles in spasms There is also the EMS Electrical Muscle Stim also called Russian Stim, which serves to stimulate and activate the muscles.

Ultrasound therapy When they come in contact with an inflammation (bursitis or tendonitis, for example), sound waves cause a vibration similar to a micro-massage. They produce a sensation of heat and stimulate circulation, which helps to accelerate healing and reduces inflammation.

Kinesiotaping Therapeutic taping method using an elastic ribbon tack specially designed to re-educate the neuromuscular system, decrease pain and inflammation, increase muscle performance. Kinesiotaping can be used alone or in addition to chiropractic treatment. This makes it possible to prolong the benefits of the treatment. Kinesiotaping is indicated for both acute and chronic conditions. Applicable anywhere, such as back, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle.
